This year Monstermob Raceway will officially be running the MSA – Motorsport South Africa Northern Regional Spinning Championships. Last year we successfully hosted 6 club/League events which means we automatically qualify to run MSA sanctioned regional’s in the 2011 season. Spin Off is the official name chosen for our spinning series; we could have chosen fancy slang but opted for something more simple and suggestive.

We will be hosting the first MSA Regional Spin Off event on the 26 February at Monstermob Raceway and look forward to welcoming some Gauteng spinners that will be making the trip up to compete in a dual spinning event. The idea behind this event is to show the Gauteng Spinning Association how events are being run in the Northern Cape. This serves to not only educate some of the drivers about the MSA Spinning Rules and Regulations, but to also establish a mutually beneficial relationship between the various regions in South Africa.

Although the sport has been around for some years now, it is only in the last year that it has been recognized by the local governing body as an official sporting code, this is a huge step forward for what was once an underground sub-culture and with this acknowledgment we can assure the spinners that their efforts will count towards something, the days of spinning demo’s are soon going to be a thing of the past as the competition evolves into National Events.

REQUIREMENTS:

OPTIONS FOR SUBMITTING COMPLETED FORMS & FEES:

- You can renew licence by logging onto the MSA website: http://www.motorsport.co.za/msa/ and following the instructions.

- If you are based in Kimberley, you can bring your forms along with your licence fee to the Monstermob Custom Shop located at: No 1 Noakes Lane, De Beers, Kimberley. We will submit your forms on your behalf and deposit your licence fee, a receipt will be issued to you and when we get your Licence Card from MSA, we will contact you immediately.

- For the Gauteng Spinners, you can either email a scanned copy of your completed forms to: karinb@motorsportsa.co.za or fax it to: +27 (0) 11 466 2450. You can deposit your licence fees into the MSA Bank account and send a proof of payment through to the MSA offices along with your forms by email or fax.

Drivers are to respect the requirements of both MSA and Monstermob Raceway respectively, we kindly request that drivers adopt a more professional approach to upcoming competitions, it is not the organizers responsibility to ensure that your MSA Licence fees are paid well in advance to allow the 2 week licence processing time. We remind you that you will not be allowed to compete if you have not met the above requirements.
